Software Update - Can I update from 2.1 to 2.7 without problems?

I have an ION that is at 2.1 software. Can I update to 2.7 without problems or do I need to update to in-between versions? Will I still have access to all my saved shows? Are there any other issues or considerations to updating?

there was a wholesale key cap exchange, and then an individual key change (Delay becomes Shift). not sure when that happened (before or after 2.1).

get the manual printed out. LOTS of things have changed.

Thanks, Andrew. Judging from the 2.7 update video I saw, it looks like there are a lot of new features we'll have to learn.
