Channel check bug in 2.7.3

I installed 2.7.3 Nomad on my Mac for a new show recently. I patched the fixtures, and went to do a channel check with the {Check} function, but when I did, pressing Next worked fine, but pressing Last always took me back to the first channel that was selected. Is this bug known, and if so is it still present in 2.7.4?

in addition, sometimes an incomplete range of channels was selected when in patch, in Flexi patched channels, selecting a range of unpatched channels. Some of the selection was missing.

  • can you describe a bit more detailed what your selection/flexi problem was?

i don't know if you're aware of the details for Flexi and Thru: if you're in a flexi mode and then use Thru to select a range, Eos will only use channels that were already on screen (unless both the first and last channel of your range were not on screen). to break this behaviour use Thru Thru.

in this screen you can see a Flexi Patch display, channel 10 is missing, channels 20 thru 50 are missing.

10 Thru 51 (first channel not on screen, second one on screen) will select 11 Thru 51
11 Thru 49 (first channel on screen, second one not on screen) will select 11 Thru 19
10 Thru 51 (first channel not on screen, second one not on screen) will select 10 Thru 51
11 Thru Thru 51 (no matter if on screen or not because Thru Thru was used) will select 10 Thru 51

  • Thanks, I hadn’t met that behaviour before, as normally I patch each range in one go. In this case, I was trying to extend the range from some already patched, and ran into it. Thank you for the clear explanation — this solves my second question.

  • you can also see that behaviour in a flexi'd Live or Blind tab, so it's always good to understand how it works
