Express to Nomad file conversion and EFFECT ( FX) in cues

Finally was able to convert old Express files to ascii and import into our new NOMAD set up. Running the EOS interface.

Many of the old show had stepped effect cues.  The transfer was ok for the most part.
Except, it seems that after the first FX cue, all cues afterwords will have the Effect in them,

I went to Bind, cue list and yep there it is...

Ummm.. How do I edit that out?

Thanks

  • Ed,

That is because the console is tracking the effect forward through the cues because you have not told it to stop the effect after the first FX cue.

In the cue that you want the FX to stop, select the channels and remove the effect instruction.

    for example:

    • 1 Thru 10 Effect Enter

    and then Update the cue.

This will tell the console to stop the effect and it won't track forward.

  • Thank you......

    Will give that a try.
THere are three effect cues in a row.

The first one Cue 60  is fine.  (effect1)
The second one, Cue 60.1  is fine (2)
The third cue 60.2 ,  shows when I look at the psd   Effect 2 _and_  Effect 3  in the effect column.

Then of course it has Effect 3 in the remaining  60 cues.

I think I understand how to remove the effect from the remaining cues.
What would I do to remove only effect 2 out of cue 60.2
    .
