Getting absolute data from Palettes and Presets mapped to a fader

I mapped a few presets to a fader (temporary cuelist). As long as the fader is set to zero, cycling through the presets will post absolute values to the Live Channel Display.
Putting the fader up will fade all parameter-values to the values stored in the preset. I could set the fader at any% and record the current state into a cue if I wanted to.

However, when the fader is above zero, cycling through the presets will post a reference to the Live Channel Display. Pressing "Data" will show the absolute values underneath, but "Make Absolute" will post the values, that are stored in the preset, not the values that were set by the fader. Recording the current state will also record the values stored in the preset and not the actual values coming from the fader. Setting the presets to "Absolute" doesn't help either, "Make Manual" does the same as "Make Absolute".
I couldn't find a way to "extract" the values coming from the fader other then putting them in manually.

Is this expected behaviour? I think "Make Absolute" should post the actual current values when breaking the reference. Also a preset or palette that is set to "Absolute" shouldn't post a reference at all.
