When using direct selects, I find it very frustrating to have direct selects banks of different sizes because the numbers shift around. For example: if I have a 50-bank of direct selects, the tiles are separated into two visually separated blocks of 25 tiles. But the numbers span both blocks. 1-10 along the top row of both blocks, 11-20 below them, etc. If I change the size of the window and now want a 100-bank, the tiles move. Now 1-20 is all on the top row.
My proposed solution is to have the direct selects organized into the same visually distinct blocks, so that no matter how many blocks I have, the visual order of them never changes. Ex: Block 1 is 1-5 on top, 6-10 below, etc. The next block over is 26-30, 31-35, etc. That way, if I change the size of my direct selects, the visual order is maintained.
Is there any way to do this?
