Changing External Monitors

Hi all,

I have two external monitors attached to my console and want to do a direct swap with what is currently on them (taking everything on monitor E to D and visa-versa). I know I can move windows, however my file is built around snapshots and would like to know if there is a way to do this without creating the snapshots again.

I have tried physically changing the outputs on the back of the console, which does not do what I would expect. And I am unable to physically swap the location of the monitors.

Thanks in advance!

  • Are you looking to make it so anything that's set in snapshots to come up in screen 1 will come up in screen 2 & vice versa??

If so, there's a relatively new feature in the software. On either window, click on the little monitor icon in the upper left corner. That'll bring up the following screen:

In the row of 'Options' toward the bottom, click on the 'Monitor Mapping' icon. That'll pop up a window with your screens. If you click on screen  1, you can assign it to be screen 2. That'll make screen 2, screen 1, automatically.

Now, any snapshots that bring things up in 'Screen 1' will bring them up in the old 'Screen 2' (Now Screen 1).

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff
