The second network port will show "Offline" and be inactive if no network activity is seen on it when you start up the desk.  This is one of the reasons we recommend network switches over direct connections- it assures that an active network is present right away at boot.

Is this i/aRFR or a Net3 RFR?

It's i/aRFR running through the wifi router that my sound engineer uses for the M7. So bogging it down with unnecessary bandwidth is undesirable.

I had been hotswapping connections, that must be why it never popped up. I will try from a cold start and see how that goes.
