Proportionate channel intensity playback by cue list?

There was an breakdown in communication with a show programmer here and they didn't use the correct fixture profile. We typically use a fixture profile that uses intensity between 0-50, which then translates to DMX 0-255. However, a programmer came in and programmed a list, changing the patch, with a fixture profile that does 0-100, outputting 0-255. So we have a macro that can change the patch fixture type depending on the show, but I would like to hopefully have a more elegant solution long-term.

So with us using a generic dinner on the fixtures, the existing stuff is barely visible because it's only programmed maximum at 50, not 100. The majority that is used is the old stuff, so if possible it would be simpler to have the new cue list (using a generic dimmer) somehow fit proportionately into the old fixture fixture type.

Thanks!

  • Its a chunk of cues, that is why I'm asking to see if there are any steps or trucks I could try. I see on the cue list I can set the master to INT and proportionately limit the entire list. But there are multiple of these types of issues, say some channels should be 0-40, or 0-30 as well.

I tried to export it to CSV with the thought to run a function to adjust the intensity on the channels that needed it ...but it was a lot of data to sift through.

Other option I tossed around was to make group based inhibs, and then scripts macros to set levels when that cue list runs. Not 100% sold on this idea.
