All Submasters Configuration

Hello,

I have EOS with 1.4.2.9.0.42 version installed.

When I start new show no submasters are configured.

How to configure them 1:1 (I mean sub 1 thru 300 to channels 1 thru 300) typing one command? Month ago I saw it is default with new show in ION (can't remember software version).

Simply I would like to open new show (have subs configured or do it with one command), then record Subs, Cues under faders just pressing its correspondig buttons (flash, second one). As I noticed this is not possible while fader is empty in Setup > Fader Configuraton.

Thanks for some hints.

  • Hi Adam.... this feature isn't supported in Eos.  It was added to Ion to more closely match behavior found on the Express product.   (We've had a lot of negative pushback about this though and will be modifying the behavior in upcoming releases to support a channel map on the faders in Ion, rather than using the submaster metaphor).

The closest you can do to automatically create 300 submasters is as follows (get into a blind display... I usually go into the sub list).  Enter sub 1 thru thru 300 enter.  That will create 300 submasters.  They will have no content though.  While that is still on the command line, press the load key for the first fader on page 1.  That will automatically map your faders sequentially.

If you desire the behavior of a 1-to-1 submaster map, I'd suggest you use Ion offline as your starting point.  Make a show file in Ion offline, and use that as your master showfile in Eos.   Might seem a little weird, but it works.

    Hope this helps.
