Pan/Tilt Effect creation in Effect Editor

so you found the editor and how to draw stuff with mouse or touchscreen but you were wondering how to get a straight line?

that will happen in 2.8 which i guess will be released quite early in the new year

Wait, it’s not already available? It’s a little odd to have a tool to draw effects, but have no way of making them look decent. Or am I just crazy? 

it's about effects, with 10 moving lights spinning about no one will see if that straight line really is a straight line...

I don't need a straight line. I just don't get the chance to be in my church 24/7 especially when the youth is using it. I just figured if there was that capability of telling them to "draw a circle in this box and the moving head will move in a circle", that would be a lot easier than teaching them absolute effects with focus pallets. I also don't really want them messing up our focus pallets we use for our regular services.

there is a circle in Effect 901, so you don't need to draw it.

Your settings can't be messed up by anyone if they are in another show file and you keep backup files in a drawer under lock and key.

Merging show files can restore a single FP from a backup, so new work isn't lost either.
