Here's something I saw yesterday and was able to reproduce, though not consistently.
In the browser, with a long show file name (say, "Alice Tully Hall December 8 Complete Show") do a Save As to a USB memory stick, typing out that long name. When you save it, the display of the browser tree will shift left to show the right end of the file name you've typed, and a scroll bar will be at the bottom of the window.
If you pull the memory stick before scrolling back to the left, sometimes (most of the time?) the window won't shift back left, but the scroll bar will disappear. Using the up, down & left keys to scroll & close the tree you can collapse the tree back, but the window never shifts back to show you the full text on the list. You have to Exit Eos (which can be hard to find when you can't see the browser tree) and restart.
Console this was on was an Eos 1.4.2 running as a backup.
