User defined [Data] button

I know that on the Eos/Ion channels that have presets or effects running on them are defined in the GUI with letters specifying the attribute affecting the channel (E2 for Effect 2) and that pushing the [Data] button will give me a level.  I want to define that in setup though.  I would prefer to see the level and when I push the data button see what is affecting the channel.  I'm sure there are plenty of people that like it the way it is... but I would think that it would be an easy change to make and then it could be a user preference.

  • I also, prefer having intensity levels as a view, and wish it were definable. When running a lot of different effects, I have built in a hurry, It is easier to 'know/see' what the channel level is doing at the moment. Unfortunatly productions are more often NOT providing me with a camera monitor...

I can get the channel data when in Live Channel mode, but, since I use multi-channel fixtures like coops & spacelights, I prefer to use Live Table mode.

To be honest I think this should be the default behaviour for intensities when running effects. If you are running multiple intensity effects then you have no idea what a channels intensity might be, or even which effect the channel is currently receiving intensity information from, only which intensity started most recently!

Perhaps an E subscript to denote that this channel is getting information from an effect, or just the usual change in colur.

    Cheers, Liam.
