When working in offline mode, there is no indication for that. This can result in not finding the problem why the fixtures aren't working. I think the best would be a litte note in the status bar (in red?)
Also, when starting the console it always starts in the last mode used. That means, when I was working in offline mode and shut down the console, the next morning I will get a little heart attack, because I can't control anything. I would love an option to disable autostart, but only for offline mode.
