2.7.4 sACN output viewer and iRFR bug

On an Ion running 2.7.4 build 12.

Had an little troubleshooting adventure today when someone brought up an address on an iRFR as a different (automatic) user, then closed the iRFR app before clearing their command line. This left the address up, but the console didn't indicate that it had manual values/addresses up, and sACN Viewer didn't indicate address 12 as having any output from the console (which was the only sACN device found on the network), but the address was still brought up in the rack.

The omission of addresses brought up by iRFR in the sACN viewer seems like a bit of a bug, unless I'm missing some reason for it to be intended/expected behavior?

  • The sACN viewer actually shows the sACN on the network rather than internal Eos levels, therefore if it was showing nothing for address 12 then Eos wasn’t outputting a level. The iRFR is not an sACN source in its own right, but a controller for Eos, so the levels always come from Eos.

If your rack was showing a level for 12, then it must have somehow held the previous level. Is the connection to the dimmer rack network or DMX?
