Is the Element 1 still compatible with EOS Firmware Updates?

Yes, both consoles are still compatible. But there is a change coming: Element and Ion consoles that run Windows XP will soon not get further updates.

To find out if your Element and Ion consoles run XP have a look at the back panel. Is there one or two RJ45 connectors (that's where you can plug a network cable). If you have one it's XP, if you have two you have the newer version.

If you do have the XP version there is a possibility to have a hardware upgrade installed that also includes an update to the newer operating system. The company that sold the consoles to you would have information about this, how it works and how much it costs.
