Blind mode and color picker/fade

A question regarding blind mode, submasters and the "fade" function:
We use Lustr+ fixtures at our theatre and today I ran into a little issue with blind mode and the "fade" tab in the color picker remembering a wrong value.

I was running a cue that transitions from red/orange to blue, usually this means the color path will pass by white in the middle before going to blue; I moved said path by using the fade functionality in the color picker so it went through magenta into the blue. During the show I notice my front lights are not warm enough (Stored in an int sub with dim+color, fader open at c.a. 60%, not controlled by my cues in any way) I go into blind > fixture > hit the color picker tab: my fixture immediately jumps to the end of the color fade (blue) that was still in the color picker from editing the cue. My front light going blue isn't an expected behavior for me in that case, this doesn't happen when the fade tab is not present in the color picker.

Expected behavior:
Color remains where it is unless changed i.e. I hit warmer/colder on the "tint" tab. Fade tab should not work at all given that there is no move command at hand within the submaster/channel selected.

Am I missing something?
(running 2.8 on an XP Ion)
