Copying Color Palettes for the CXI

Im sure that these 2 questions will be silly to most of you but....

1.  On the Ion is there a way to create color palettes for the CXI (since many colors dont match that well) on one unit and then copy them to all of the other units with CXIs.  For example if I were to rent one Scroller and make all of the palettes that I wanted before the rest of the equipment arrives is there a way to copy the data to the rest of the units in the plot?

2. On the obsession to take an effect out without bumping it to 0 you would change the time perameters in the effect screen (ie 5/Hold/2).  Is there a place to do this on the Ion?

Thanks for your help.

  • Hi there

in answer to your first question - yes, you can copy data from one fixture to another.   Say you were to hire one scroller and make all your colour pallets.  Once the rest of the scrollers arrive,. rig them, patch them, and then copy the info across.  To do this, go into the blind colour pallet screen.  Then select all the colour pallets you want to copy (eg: [colour pallet 1 > 100 enter]).  then select the source channel and copy to the other chans.  (eg: [1 copy to 2 thru 20])

Effect: in the effect screen, there is a box that says "entry" and another that says "exit".  This refers to the entry and exit time for the effect.  So if you want an effect to fade in over 2 and out over 5, you would place these times in the entery/exit fields.  If you press [entry enter] and [exit enter] then the entry and exit times will inherit their times from the cues they are attached to.

    Hope that helps
