Movement lights not fading

Hey guys funky thing happening. I have a couple movement lights (that are dimmable) and I have them programmed into cues to fade up but when I activate the cue they jump to their intensity (in this case 0-25) rather than fading to it. Any ideas on how to avoid that?

  • So there's no "t" in the cues and it's not a color mixer. When I program in cues that have intensity data it just pops to the percentage. It has a shutter but that's not the issue. When I watch the channel it jumps right to the percentage while everything else in the cues fades to the percentage. It does this in every cue I have it in. Some of the cues have M, b, p, or D, in them but some of them don't and when I remove those it doesn't effect the fade time... also when I manually fade the cues they fade properly. seems like something may be odd in the fixtures patch? I really have no idea...

It's an ADJ accu spot 250 ii

  • Sounds like you could have a problem with the profile for that fixture.  1st, make sure you're on the latest version of the Eos software.  Then check that the intensity parameter of that fixture is not set to "Snap".

Check Patch>Fixtures then click on the profile for the Accu Spot 250 II.  It should be listed on the left-hand side of the screen along with any other fixture profiles you're using.  On the right hand side of the screen, you'll see a list of all of that fixture's parameters.  Make sure "Snap" is not checked for Intensity.

If it is checked, you can click on the softkey for "Update Profile" to start using the most-recent fixture profile for that device.

If that doesn't work, you can try giving tech support a ring during business hours.

  • Hey! The fixture profile was the issue! I don't believe I'm on the latest software right now but I won't have an opportunity to update it for a couple weeks. So it seems that the instructions you gave are possibly too "up to date" for my software and I couldn't change the existing profile but I wound up copying it and disabling snap on the copied version and repatching them to that and there you go!

    Thanks!!
