Training visualizer won't work on same computer as Nomad

I'm having some trouble with the visualizer file provided with the online training files. I'm trying to get it running on a Windows 10 PC with Nomad. I do have sACN enabled in both the shell and patch of Nomad, and I've made exceptions for both the viz file and Nomad in my firewall. I used sACNView to confirm output through the network. I've tried opening Nomad first, and I've tried opening the visualizer file first. Neither works. I've tried switching to a loopback adapter. I've tried adding exceptions to my firewall. I've tried both Primary and Offline w/ Viz. I've tried disabling all of my other network adapters.What else am I missing? Using Eos 2.8.1 on Windows 10.

    Are you connected to some kind of network?

    Some systems need to be connected to a network, or at least a router/switch/hub. The idea is that Nomad sends data out to the network, which then returns it to Capture. There isn't a designed 'inside the computer' connection, but on many systems it works anyway. You may be one of the others where you need a real network.
