the best thing you can do is make the show run on magic sheets and use them in Limited Expand Mode.
In Nomad 2.9.1 is there a way to quit (Eos family software) from Limited Expand Mode?
I think that you could solve this by putting the console in a user, loading the cue stack into that user, and setting a partition for that user that doesn't include any show channels (Maybe you can make a dummy channel to make this work).
People who have more consistent access to a desk, please help confirm that this would work!
I ended up making a magic sheet that hides most console functions. That MS runs in limited expand mode as a startup macro. I'm not sure why 2.9 nerfed my quit button on the MS, but now the quit button triggers a macro that exits limited expand before quitting EOS and it works great.
