Doubt

Please friends, I have a console Element version 2.2, and it does not have a problem, but i would like to have the system a little younger. Can I update the system without compromising console operation? How could I do that? Thanks very much for helping!

  • there are two things you can do:

    - update the software: http://www.etcconnect.com/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=10737497514 , copy to a USB drive, insert into console, and go to the shell, settings, general, software update. there are different things that will change. make sure that you have enough time to get to know those changes before you start the next production!

    - there are different hardware versions of Element. the older one has one network connector (RJ45) at the back, the newer one has 2 of them. if you have the older version you could talk to the company that sold the Element to you to find out, how much the hardware upgrade would cost. if you have only 1 network port there will not be no more software updates after this summer...
