this means you want to have a separate command line on the PC, which in turn means running it in Client mode rather than mirror mode. to do that you need an ETCnomad dongle. it looks like a small usb drive and keeps a license that unlocks certain functions in the software.

what's the difference between the ETCnomad dongle and the puck?

I'm confused by which one has the features that I need.   Thanks

an ETCnomad Dongle is a security key you connect to your own PC or Mac, while ETCNomad Puck is a small computer purpose built to run the software.

The puck is a complete computer,  the dongle is just a USB licence key which you plug into your computer after loading Nomads on it.
