iRFR and console interaction

We are using the iRFR-BTS app on a iPod Touch, version 3.0.1.1 with an EOS Ti version 2.7.4. Back sometime around November, we updated the app on the device and there was a fairly significant change in interface. It has all been good, except for one comment that we have received from clients that is roughly the following:

Prior to updating, clients could operate or program on the console while we used the remote device to bring up channels to do focus. They didn't affect each other. Now our clients are noticing that everything that is punched in on the app is also in the command line on the console and vice versa causing us to work over top of each other if we don't communicate. They have now become accustomed to having to wait while we do our focus with the remote but have expressed that they preferred the old way where our entries in the remote did not affect the command line on the console.

Is there a setting or some way to make this happen?

Thank you.

  • It seems like that your Console and the remote device are running with the same user ID. This can happen, when you selected "Auto" for User ID. Our workaround is, that we have an individual user for every Console, Client and Remote. For example, Ti=1, Gio=2, Client=5, iRFR=10.

I'm sure that selecting a custom User ID for the remote device will solve your problem.
