So, I was looking into purchasing ETCnomad for our theater, but while scrolling through the information for the final time just to check all my bases I noticed that with recent updates they now state that the Base dongle only provides 512 outputs with systems running software version 2.8.x or lower. On systems running software version 2.9 the Base dongle will unlock 1024 outputs. As far as I can tell version 2.9 has yet to be released, and the unlocked version of Nomad would provide far more outputs than we really need or frankly probably ever will. Does anybody know if version 2.9 is imminent or if there is a reason for this? If I just buy it as is at 512 outputs for version 2.8.3 (which I still have to update to) when I eventually update the software to 2.9 will I gain access to the full 1024 outputs or will I be stuck with one universe? Any insight/help/experience would be appreciated, I'm in a bit of a time crunch. Thanks
