Capital 'P' doesn't work in labels on an external keyboard

running 2.8.2.8.  recently upgraded 10yr old Ions to the new Windows.

trying to label a cue or sub, either in syntax  "Record Cue 1 label Platform Enter"  or   "sub 15 label Platform Enter", doesn't work.  syntax fails on the P after the Shift.

A 4 panel box pops up, looks like a video command macro box in windows (doesn't say Windows).  4 options:  Computer only (no output to other screen); Duplicate on 2 monitors; extend side by side, or projector only.

the shift P on the CIA keyboard works.  I upgraded a while ago.  haven't seen this before.  (can't believe I haven't tried to type a Capital P since then!!!)

    replying to my own post:  nothing was on the external keyboard, so nothing was on the Windows key.  nothing was on the console, so the "start" key wasn't pressed. 

    post show last night, re-loaded house patch/show file and shut down.  booted back up this AM and problem is not there.  I can type Shift + P on the external keyboard.

    If it pops up again (!) I'll save a log file and submit. . . .
