Better Selection for ScrollerColors, Colorwheels, Gobowheels etc.

Are you using Eos or Ion, I'm guessing Ion, but here are a coupe of methods.

On Eos, you know that on the encoder touchscreen you can tap the section with an 'E' next to your wheel controling colour wheel, scroller or gobo wheel, and providing you have set your wheel up in patch you will be able to view and access the contents of that wheel on the expanded touchscreen.

The easiest way to do this on Ion I suppose is to open a virtual encoder page from the browser, you should then be able to go through the same process.

Or perhaps what you're really asking for is that this method of selection will also enable you to reference by name or number which colour/gobo you have selected. If so, hang in there, a little bird tells me it's on the way at last!  ;-)

I am using ION and I now about the use of the virtual encoder but the problem on ION is that you have

no Tab Views, so it will take a lot of time to open the virtuell elements and to get back to the previous

display state.

The 2 ways I get around this are either:

1 - Use colour pallets labeled by colour number (ie: CP 200 for Lee 200).  I do this so I don't have to use the direct selects for CP's and allows me to use the direct selects for other things

or

2 - Record CP"s 1 > 28 in the order they appear in the string.  If you do use the direct selects, they appear in order and aren't scattered all over the place
