v 1.4.4 is available for download

Eos/Ion 1.4.4 software is available for download from the ETC Web site.  Please remember the following:

If you have multiple control devices on your network, all devices must be upgraded to 1.4.4.  As a reminder, all ETC manufactured devices (consoles, RPUs, RVIs) should have the online software installed.  PC clients should install the offline software.

Mac people.... there were no changes to the operation of the UI.  As such, we have no compiled a new offline Mac build.  You can continue to use 1.4.3.

The major feature of this release is the support use of the Net3 Radio Focus Remote (RFR) over Ethernet. This supports multiple base stations on the network, and multiple handheld units connected to a single base station.

1.4.4 requires new firmware to be installed on both the RFR base station and the handheld unit.     There are three ways to install this firmware.  (Please see the release note on the downloads page of the RFR.).  To install the firmware directly from the Eos/Ion shell, you must have XPe 1.4.2 installed (the current version of XPe installed on your device can be found in the shell, under "General" at the bottom of the screen. )  If you have XPe 1.4.2 or higher, the firmware updater is found under the "RFR" button in the shell.

If you do not have the this version of XPe, you can install the RFR firmware from 1.4.4. offline or GCE offline on a PC.

We recommend that all users update to 1.4.4 as their production calendar permits.

Thanks all!

Anne
