What's the best recommended touch screen monitor EOS ION Classic?

We have an EOS ION Classic console and would like to upgrade to touch screen monitors.     We're a high school with limited budget, so we're looking for low cost / high quality options.  Slight smile

    With an ION Classic (XP based console) your options are very limited due to the drivers that are built in to the operating system. The console only has drivers for ELO-brand "5 Wire Capacitive" Touchscreens, which are expensive and difficult to get as they are old technology.

    It might be worth talking to your local dealer and getting a price for upgrading the ION to the Windows 7 OS version. Some benefits of the upgrade:

    • The ION will work with any Windows 7 certified multitouch monitor, which allows for many more options at lower prices
    • You get a new motherboard and SSD drive
    • You will be able to run the upcoming EOS version 3.0 software (which will not work on the XP OS consoles)
