Hi everyone. Eos 2.9 is released and can be downloaded from the software pages for any Eos family product. Please note the 2.9 release note, updated hotkeys document and manual update are also posted.
Key points of 2.9 are:
- Nomad 256 and 512 dongles now unlock 1024 outputs
- Break and Build Mode in Absolute Effects
- Support adding curves to any parameter in patch
- Add compressed file save option in Save As controls. This significantly reduces the size of the showfile, making file open and sync options much faster. Non-compressed is only required for backward compatibility to previous software versions. At any time, the file can be saved in non-compressed mode if needed. Compressed files present as .esf2
- Revised Display Picker tool with sort options
- Polish language translation added
- Eos software for Mac is now 64-bit
- Target search options now include Patch text fields 1-10
- Add support for Response SMPTE gateway (provisional)
- Allow second press of [Go to Cue] at the end of the command line to append “Complete”
- Move “Save Logs” in browser to top level control to increase visibility
- Support MIDI note entry in HEX
- Support for multiple user-definable TCP connections
- Expose Cue parts in OSC commands
- Add Magic Sheet object for Response Analog I/O gateway relay status
- Add Magic Sheet object for time code status
- Anchor channels when displays are in 100 channel mode when in any flexi state
- Add notifications when the console is low on resources or has a critical system problem
- Support ASCII merge functions
- [Learn] + [Load] now opens fader config tools
- Add pixel map controls for better support of looping options
- Support for Response SMPTE gateway
