LED CwWw 16Bit LSB Problems

v2.9.0 Build 77

I have a number of cool white/warm white LED practicals on the current project and they were refusing to go to zero.  Looking at the Output Viewer the least significant bit was resolutey staying at 255 when the unit was at intensity 0.

Making a new fixture with cool and warm white 16bit parameters solves the issue, but it seems like there is something funky in the Eos Fixture.

  • Hi Victoria,

You were using the Generic LED CwWw 16B (4 parameter footprint) correct? If the channel tombstone shows 0% but Tab 37 shows the address output is 255 we should check in About for that channel/address to see what the winning source is. Additionally, did Tab 37 show the Eos console as the winning sACN source or are there other sACN sources present in the system? In discovering what works and doesn't work for the fixture profile..does the new, working profile use a virtual intensity master like the Generic profile?

    Best,

    Therese

  • Patching this fixture in v2.9.0 I see that the cool white and warm white parameters home at full (rather than zero). If the new profile you created has these parameters homing at zero, this change will take both Cw and Ww out regardless of what the virtual intensity parameter is at.
