Shutter/Strobe as snap parameter

Anyone who could answer this question from the library department of ETC? Right now I am making custom fixtures for everything that has a strobe, which is a bit tedious. I want to be able to gradually increase the speed of the strobing. saranow

Hello!  You should be able to edit most existing fixture to remove the snap.
We default to snap on this parameter to due to response from customers that they had wanted it this way for most fixtures.

Thanks, I knew how to edit the fixtures, but I wanted to know if it was by design or not and why the choice was made. So now I know, partly. My preference would have been otherwise. I guess it is more due to the limitations of old fixtures then a real preference (as I see no advantage in having the strobe rate step instead of fade), if it can’t be changed globally I will have to edit all my fixtures. So be it.
