Updating submasters in live

When editing a submaster in Live is there a way to "release" a channel so that when you update the sub it doesn't record/show a 0 when looking at the Blind edit display of the sub? On the Obsession while in Live you could [at] [Enter] a channel to "release" it. This doesn't seem to be the case for the Ion. Having these channels at 0 (in the sub edit display) doesn't seem to show or affect the sub when running it in Live (maybe because my subs are all HTP), but they show as 0's in the Blind sub display and I want them to show up like every other channel that is not in the sub.

  • You can select the channels and press [Clear] + [Enter] simultaneously.   That will leave the levels set, but (as they are not "manual" anymore) exclude them from update.  If you've gotten channels in your sub that you want to remove, you can still do this from sub blind using [at] [Enter] or [Make Null] [Enter].

    Does that help?
