using Query to find unused lights

It sounds like the reason Query is picking up channels in blocks (whites 0’s) is because somehow when programming blue 0’s have snuck into your cuelist. 

 

So I think we can get around your Query like this. Lets say you have channels 1 thru 300 patched and cues 1 thru 99 recorded. Somewhere in these cues you have blue 0’s for channels that aren’t being used (I think). So to help with our Query lets make a new cue at the beginning of your list and put all our channels in this cue at 0%.

[1] [thru] [300] [@] [0] [Enter]

[Record] [Cue] [0.5] [Qonly] [Enter]

 

This has made us a new cue before your show cues and put all your blue 0’s at the beginning of the list. It will have also added all 300 channels to your Show channels flexi if you use that!

 

Now hopefully this Query will work

[1] [Thru] [300] [Query] {Isn’t In} [Cue] [1] [Thru] [99] [Enter]

You should now have all channels that aren’t used in your show selected. You could now write these down or,

[Select Last] [Record] [Group] [999] [Enter]

You could now print to file just this group to your USB stick.

 

I’m pretty sure because all your blue 0’s are in a cue before the one we used in Query this should work.

 

If I where you I would save my show before adding this new cue and adding the blue 0’s and then reload the show after doing the Query.

If you're doing this with moving lights, I think that adding Make Manual or Make Absolute to that cue 0.5 would be needed too.
