Focus Palettes in Effects

instead of a ficus effect you create an absolute effect. in the Level column you can enter regular numbers for intensity, but you can also enter e.g. FP 1. you can create as many actions (i.e. rows) in that table as you want

I got as far as using the Absolute Effect and put "Intens" in action 1's Param column. Then set level to 100.

But in the row for action 2; I couldn't find where I could put FP1. Clicking Param field bought up the action parameters table to the left. And, clicking the level field (which said "Bkgrnd) just made it jump!

not in the Params column. in the Level column. type [FocusPalette] 1 [Enter]

The Level field is where you put the Focus Palette (or other target) for that action.

You can use direct selects (touch the palette you want to put in the action) or the keyboard (just type [Focus Palette] [1]).

Ouch - When I tried typing in from my keyboard I kept getting an error message. But when I used the console keys [Focus Palette] and (Say) [1] it went in fine. I'll sort the (my) keyboard thing out later but I'm on my way now. Thanks

Ah - I can see the P&T changing so well on way. But attaching pic of my effect. FP1 and FP two are Pan and Tilt FPs for start and end. I'm not connected to Capture at the moment to really see what's happening but this is a start.
