running light cues with lauch pad

hi in new here and i came here to ask a question about the element 2. i was wondering if it is posable to use a laptop with a launchpad MK 2 with Ableton and some sort of adapter between the 2 to change the light cues so i can do a light show with the launchpad? and if this is posable how do i do it and what would i need?

    Yes, that's possible, you won't even need Ableton. A Launchpad Mk2 outputs MIDI and the Eos software running on the Element 2 can react to MIDI.

    The only remaining question is how to get MIDI into the Element 2. There are ETC products called Response MIDI Gateway that you can connect to the console through network or USB. Or you can use any 3rd party USB-MIDI adapter, provided it doesn't need drivers to run on windows.
