New Profile Behavior

I am trying to make a very simple profile for a fixture that only has Red, Green, Blue and Amber. Made a new Profile and named it fine. Added my Red, Green and Blue with those words Parameters as parameter names followed by "color". And DMX 8b.1, 2, 3, 4 etc. But when I added Amber a strange thing happened; Suddenly 4 rows appeared, Saturation, Intens, Brightness and Hue!. Weirdest thing - when trying to delete a row it would disappear from that row but re-appear at the bottom. And this was true for all my unwanted rows!

How can I delete these rogue rows and how did they appear there in the 1st place?

An come to that how can I delete a fixture I don't want?  I can only see [Delete Unused] but that seems to delete any new ones I just created!

  • You may not have to go to the trouble of creating a custom fixture -- there is a Generic RGBA 8bit fixture in the library already. Take a look under Generic.

In the editor, there are extra parameters that are created for the fixture once there's enough for a color mixing system. These are virtual -- they don't output any DMX and only exist to help the console process the values correctly. You don't have to worry about them existing, and they can't be deleted (otherwise things like the color picker and the intensity mastering the colors would stop working).

To delete a fixture, select the fixture in the list on the left hand side and press the Delete softkey -- it should be the third button in the left hand softkeys.
