Tint in profiles

I sometimes see tint controls in fixture profiles as 0 - 255. This isn't how a person's mind works, imo. 
 When creating a tint parameter. -100% (Full magenta) to +100% (Full Green). Motion Picture/TV uses -100 to +100 with 0 = no tint. Since Magenta/Green gels (i.e. Lee, Rosco, Gam) come in +/- eighth, quarter, half, full variety, the language in the Motion Picture industry is still &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s add quarter Magenta to that light&rdquo;. With a Tint of 0 = no tint, and where minus refers to &ldquo;minus green&rdquo;, aka Magenta. 
 That's how things work in our industry at least. Not sure how the theatre world does it, but I can&rsquo;t imagine anyone thinks in 0 - 255 for tint.

I think that by default and unless the fixture manual refers to the values differently, the profiles are built to show the greatest precision, i.e. 0-255 as that is the maximum number of steps in an 8-bit DMX channel. 
 You can always edit the profiles yourself and set the range to be 0-100 or -100 to +100.
