if you Exit the Ion program (not power off), that takes you to a window where you can choose to go to the Shell. From there, Click the Maintenance tab on right, and then half way down the list on the left is File Manager (or similar). click on that.
2 windows open. clikc on the top line (with the folder icon) to keep going up the directory until you see the drive. open that.
on the other window, you can open the Show Archives and start drilling into any folders you have there.
you can move or copy between the left and right windows. or delete files.
you can not rename files in here.
Hope this is helpful. there is a way to get into a windows explorer screen/desktop, but it is password protected.
(I wish it was possible to do all this, and re-name files, AND set the clock, without exiting the program)

Does anyone here know the password and how to get to that screen
if you're in a situation where you feel you need access to "real windows" it's time to call tech support. but usually they need a really good reason to give you the password...
if it's about file managment purposes in the showfile archive: are you aware that you can allow network access on the console and then use another computer to access the showfile archive with a regular windows explorer?
No but would that allow me to rename show files
absolutely!
Great!!!
How do I do this? I have a Windows 10 laptop running as a client and I would like to use it to access the showfile archive on the Ion.

have a look in the shell of the Ion. in settings>general there are two checkboxes to share the show and media archives along with instructions
Assuming you've checked the "Share Show Archive" checkbox in the shell on your console.
At your PC:
If you are running as a client, you can also open showfiles from your master directly from the Eos browser. This doesn't give you file management access though.
