Analog Input

So I am looking to built a light switch that is going to be installed into a set. I want to use the analog input on the ION so that when the actor flips the switch the desk fires a cue. If I am understanding the maual, for the latest releace, all I need to do is short pins 1 and 2 on the analog input D-sub. And then set up my event in the event list. Is this correct? And what are the Master 40 pins used for?

Any help or clarification on the analog input portion of the ION woudl be greatly apreceated.

Where in the manual did you find any information about the pin-out of the trigger input?

cool, thanks for the link! are there any specifications about how much current to draw there? I have a small pcb rated at 12V 500mA... Would be nice to drive it directly from the 12V out ;)
