Hello all,
I have been using presets to store all values for certain fixtures in a show I am programming - this includes intensities and so when I am in a cue the intensities are shown as the preset name.
This is not much use to the LD, and so I've found myself constantly needing to hit the Data key so that he can see what the actual levelsare - so that he can decide whether they are appropriate before attempting to make adjustments. Is there a way to lock the Data key down so that intensities are always displayed rather than presets? This is on a seperate console to mine so I would be able to view presets myself while the LD could see something a little more meaningful.
Also - Whilst it makes a lot of sense to see Focus, Colour and Beam as preset and palette names I can't help but feel it would be nice to see intensities as proper values all the time. Is there a way to be selective about what shows up as Data and what shows up as preset names? Perhaps it might be good to have a way to see intensity on a screen along with some sort of signifier saying it is referencing a preset? Any thoughts from LDs/programmers on the forums?
Cheers,
Leo
