Is it possible to use the color source relay with eos family consoles?

Basically as the title says; Is it possible to use the color source relay with eos family consoles?

Parents
  • As they are really just wireless DMX transmiters and receivers and just take DMX in then they ought to work with anything DMX.

Whether you want to connect the rig on wireless is a different question and it ifs just to avoid dmx cable runs using sACN on ethernet cable may be a better choice.  Wirsless can suffer latency issues, as the brochure for the ColorSource Relay says " Wireless DMX Latency can occur during fade chases"

  • Are you using the wireless version or wired? Our little theatre has recently refurbished with Colorsource fixtures and a Gio console, and is using wired CS relays to divide the inrush on main breaker switch on. It hasn’t been plain sailing with the CS relays switching in response to just the presence of DMX signal from the desk so now they switch on using address 512 on the universe in question, which is patched as a channel, raised and parked. As far as I know, some of the rig comes on immediately on power on, the rest through the relays making use of their zero crossing point timing to limit inrush.
