I'm currently working on a project that has a VGA monitor on it and trying to connect an Eos RPU. The monitor is a 1280x1024 and can accept the RPU. I have a currently have a StarTech DisplayPort to VGA Video Adapter Converter that doesn't seem the be displaying the image. Has anyone used this adapter and have found that it doesn't work? Is there a better one available that will work?
You probably have a passive adapter, and need an active one. That said, is there a reason why you're stuck with the VGA monitor?
I looked into the adapter again and it does state that it is an active adapter and it can support resolutions up to 1900x1200. It's a specific monitor that the site wanted.
Do you have another DisplayPort source you can try the adapter on? Like a laptop or desktop? It's possible it's a bum adapter.
When you attach the adapter to your RPU is it just the screen isn't displaying the image, or is the RPU not detecting the adapter? You'd need another screen attached to the RPU to verify.
Well, I connected another monitor with a coworker and the screen magically appeared. I guess it just needed another set of eyes to scare it into working. Thanks for the help and suggestions!
