So I am using Chauvet Slimpar Pro H, and they have 6 channels: Red, Green, Blue, Amber, White and UV. however when I add them to EOS, they show as: Red Amber Green Blue White UV. I am not sure why because in patch, the light definition has the good order. Is there a way, in ml control and in live table to show the parameters as the same order then the DMX??
I don’t think this is possible in the ML Controls tab. If you’d like a custom method of controlling non-intensity parameters, I’d make a magic sheet.
So you can open patch, Select channel>Fixtures>Chauver Slimpar Pro H 6ch, you can change the attributes for the fixture profile. I hope that helps you!
Parameter ordering is defined in Eos and cannot be changed by users. It doesn’t matter what order they appear in the fixture, the displayed order follows the Eos ordering scheme.
But you can change the individual addresses that the parameter controls.
yes you can change that, but as dsmufin pointed out, this wouldn't change the order Eos presents the parameters on encoders or in ML Controls.
I have never seen a fixture in the order: RAGBW!!!! All the fixtures I used was always RGBAW (or RGBWA). I will post a screenshot of the issue, once it is approved by forum moderators.
In the color spectrum amber is between red and green, I think that is the reason.
The order comes from the ETC x7 color mixing system (Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo). Because the order is global this unfortunately also affects RGBAW fixtures, and there is currently nothing you can do to change this order.
Ok, Thanks for the answer! I can't belive that big software like EOS is not even able to use the order in the device setting instead of a global settings.
Personally I find the sorting by spectral wavelengths to be much more intuitive and attractive, I feel it makes sense in the Eos colour control system to have it that way. I still get what you're saying.
