Is it possible to have multiple effects that control the same parameter running at the same time?
I want to use a bump to white effect on top of an already running colour chase effect, and not release the colour chase after the bump to white.
Thanks

Sorry - I guess the manual blatantly states that this is not possible. Any work around that anyone can think of to do what I want?
Pixel mapping and effects are different entities, so if u can make one of the two effects a pixel map that would work
If you are planning on using a submaster you can set it to only control the color parameters of the fixture. Let's say we are using ch 1 thru 5, if you were to set the color value to white and the do <1 thru 5 color record sub #>, then once you bump that sub it should override the current chase you have running. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks, I've chased this a little bit now and it seems like it might do what I want. I hit a wall though, a pixel map can turn everything to white, but it also turns intensity up on everything as well. Do you know if there is any easy way to only affect colour parameters from a map?
You can run absolute effects with levels or colors being references to the background state. Write your sub as HTP or LTP depending on what you need. This is one way I run multiple chases for poormans process rigs or just effect busking in general. The one thing you can't do is a proper negative of an additive system, as you rely on HTP to prioritize for that.
