showing palette label in a preset

HI. 

I put an instrument into a preset.  that preset is made from palettes.  what do I press to change the display from showing the preset label to showing the reference interior palette label?

About + Label shows the preset number.

data shows the absolute data

what can't i recognize in the manual and Facepanel shortcuts?

(ion 2.9.1 on a laptop)

  • When I press and hold [Data] I am seeing the names of my nested palettes, not the absolute data.  Are you using a modifier along with Data?

    working on my laptop at home.  Control D shows me absolute data.  not sure about other modifiers.

    about & Label shows me the preset number under the label.  (Y & L)

    about & Data doesn't really change, but the CIA pops up, and the channel show me the absolute data.  (Y & ctrlD)

    top left corner of screen says Tracking / Manual channels.

     (I haven't looked, but) is there a cheat sheet of ALL the SHIFT and all the ABOUT double key press commands?  I'm pretty sure the Hot Keys sheet and the shortcut sheet don't list EVERYTHING since they're capped at 2 pages.

    I know it's a case of PICNIC (problem in chair, not in console).
