ACN Input

Question

Hi, 
 
 We've recently purchased an ION. 
 We where under the impression that we could input ACN (or artnet, etc) and have the desk act as a node, i.e. Take ethernet dmx in and pump out real DMX. 
 Am I missing something in the manual.

The DMX ports on Ion can only output DMX sourced from that Ion. 
 Sorry if someone from ETC misled you. Please let us know if any of our documentation or literature suggested that Ion could output DMX sourced from another Ethernet source.
