3.0 Added Virtual Parameters

If you have a fixture with at least either Pan or Tilt then they will be added, and can't be removed. Because in Augment3d they add functionality to your channels.

OK. Hunting manual for these three focus thingys. I thought 'Focus' was Pan and Tilt. Tweaking  any of the new guys in the ML panel did not effect any of the fixture's channels (viewed in sACN output viewer). I.E. My fixtures don't appear to use them. Can you direct me to more info please.. 

The X, Y & Z tell Augument3d where your lights are located in your virtual and so in your actual space (how far above the stage, how far from stage centre, etc.)  That is how Augument3d works, it knows where your lights are so it knows what they will light on your stage, on your set, on your actors, when you point them in a direction (Pan & Tilt).

Aha!  thankyou. I just dipped my toes into Aug3D and saw the X, Y and Z in there, so it makes sense now. 

In the ML controls XYZ Focus relates to where the light is pointing.  so if it was aimed at the floor, on the centreline at the plaster line then XYZ Focus would be 0,0,0, regardless of where the fixture is hung

If I got that right then: In Patch XYZ will put the light somewhere on/above stage. But in live and using the ML panel the XYZ point the light to a spot? I thought that was Pan & Tilt. 

Pan/Tilt deal with the physical movements of the fixture.  In 3.0 we added software features to allow you to define where you wanted the light pointed (XYZ) and not think in terms of the fixtures positioning to get the light 3' Down stage of Center and 4' Stage Right - XYZ = 3'/4'/0'

In patch you have XYZ Position - that says where the fixture is.

In ML controls - Pan and Tilt are setting angles of rotation.  XYX Focus are the coordinates of the target the light is pointing at.
