Hi all,
I’ve just purchased a ETC nomad license key and a GADGET II.
Here are my issues:
- The gadget isn’t responding to signals sent from a Mac or Windows machine
The specifics of what it isdoing:
- It is appearing as a local DMX output on System Settings>Output
- It’s appearing under diagnostics as ‘I/O Board Firmware Version 1.1.0.4’
The specifics of my primary setup:
- Mac Mini running MacOS Mojave V10.14.6
- Running ETC EOS version 3.0.0 Build 389
- ETC Gadget 2, Purchased new a few days ago from Stage Electrics UK
What I’ve done so far to troubleshoot:
- Changed cables (DMX and USB)
- Tested the dimmer pack with different LX controller, it worked fine.
- Attached the gadget to a Windows machine and in the shell, under Settings>Maintenance updated the firmware multiple times until it was no longer an option to do so.
- Tried the Gadget on two separate Mac’s, one on Catalina, one on Mojave.
I’m a A-Level Drama Technical Student creating a play for my exam. Under the current COVID crisis, my return to school has been very fast paced and I am already behind schedule as a result of this so advice ASAP would be greatly appreciated as the system was also purchased as a result of my recommendation. So far, my recommendation isn’t boding well in the department, but I can assure you It will most-definitely be an upgrade from the ADJ MyDMX buddy we used to use!
