I tried to merge (advanced) CUE 1 from another show to CUE 2 in current show and when started merging the current show disappeared, I had to load the show, I tried 3 times same result.
V3.0.0 build 389
RPU Xe as Master, ION Xe as backup
thanks

Were you definitely using File > Merge > Advanced and not File > Open > Advanced?
Yes, 100%
did you put a number in the End column? or did you just say Cue Start=1 ?
I put:1 thru 1 and target 2
Were you merging on the Backup from a File on the Master? If so, this may be a bug. The workaround is to merge from a file saved locally rather than on the networked console.
Yes, I was merging in the Backup from a file on Master,
In this case I believe this is the bug. My apologies. It is being tracked as EOS-51438.
If you open the show on the Backup and save a local copy (or save to USB and move it to the Backup) then it will open without issue.
Thanks Sasha!
Hi Sasha, if you need logs for this, I have a set... but it sounds like this is pretty easy to reproduce. Hope this can make it into the next release considering the likelihood of plunging the stage into darkness (best case scenario) plus losing data (worst case scenario)
Thank you, Paul. I do no need logs at this time and we are working to resolve this.
I am also having this problem. Same symptoms of merging from a networked console. In my case files with the extension .esf3d seem to be working as expected (merge = merge) but files with the extension .esf2 still result in the bug behavior of merge turns into open and blanks out the rest of my show.
Eos TIs with RPU EOS v.3.0.2 build 6
Hi Ben, this has been addressed for v3.1.0, currently in Open Beta. The bug is logged as [EOS-51899] Multiconsole Merge on Client or Backup of ESF and ESF2 files from Master will Open instead of Merging
This was fixed in 3.0.1 and 3.0.3.
