Ion won't configure touch screens

Hi all,

Odd problem with my touchscreens since upgrade to 3.0.

Iiyama 19 inch.

Both worked perfectly before moving to V3.0 but now the cursor only appears on screen A when touching either screen. I can actually select things on screen A whilst using screen B to navigate around Screen A.

I've tried all the usual routes (swapped out DVI and USBs) and found that the monitors won't configure, I can get the configuration screen up and move a cursor around it but when I touch the X nothing happens. (yes I've tried holding for the old skool 10 secs)

Identify touch screen only seems to come up on monitor A although both screens go white, A is the only one with text.

I swapped back to 2.9 but still the problem persists..

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Liam

  • Should also say that I can move the cursor to screen B with the mouse but as soon as I touch screen B the cursor jumps back to screen A

  • when you did the calibration with the white screen, did you read the text? only one screen is supposed to have the text. touch it until it changes the text, then press Enter (external keyboard!) and then do the same on the other monitor that should now get the text.

  • Ah yes. I did screen A first and the text disappeared after touching. Then when the text is on screen B it doesn’t register the touch as the cursor jumps back to screen A.

  • Hey Liam

I'm having the same issue with a Gio@5, were you able to solve the problem?

    Matt :-)

  • Hi Matt,

I never got to the bottom of it. The last I heard was that ETC USA were going to contact me but it never happened and then we went back into lockdown and I've only just started using it again in the last month or so. I did the upgrade to the most recent firmware on one of my machines the other day and had a quick shot at calibration but the problem still exists. We're going dark next week so I'll have another sit down with it and see what I can do. Have you had any luck with yours?

  • If you're still having this problem, please let us know here.

  • Hi there,

Yes I am still suffering the same problem.
